Howdy!!! To R.E.S.P.E.C.T. someone is not something that can be taught; neither can it be imposed on someone by some laws. What is happening nowadays in country is known to all of you. So, let’s not go into the background. What my point is, it can only be stopped once people will learn to R.E.S.P.E.C.T.. [...]

Shalom!!!

My phone rang just after the movie finished. It was Saubhagya, my roommate (read the last post). He said, he has to give me a good news. I asked him excitedly, but the news was rather bad. He said, we’ll have to live in the darkness for the whole night as, because of some electrical issue, power won’t be there for whole night.

I thought of staying at one of my friend’s place, but then again, I did not want to leave my place. So, I came back and we started preparation for sleeping. We had a visitor, Karuna, Hari’s friend, and we were talking in next room to mine.

When we finally decided to sleep, I thought I should switch on the lights and fans so that if power will come, by any chance, we’ll know. But when I went to bed, Saubhagya asked did you switched off the bulb. I said no. And he knew that I won’t go to switch it off again. So, he went and then he went to the next room also, where my other friends were sleeping. But when he switched on the lights there, the bulb lit.

We started shouting and laughing. We were wondering since when the power was there and we were living in the darkness, without fan and with mosquitoes. I went to my room but light was not there in my room. I asked Hari to check the fuse. He checked it was off. He switched it on, and the light was there. But again, when Hari went to his room, he found that light was again off. He asked me to check, he said that something is smelling, he thought it’s a short circuit. We went and checked, but nothing was clear. I asked him to check the switch again. It was off again, of his room, he switched that on.

But, no lights again. We slowly entered the room, in a queue. Right at the front was Hari, mobile in hand, for torch light. He pointed the mobile light at the bulb. There was no bulb. It was only holder. He shouted, “Ji, light has burst”. We started looking for the broken glass pieces suddenly, and then again, suddenly he pointed the light towards the second bulb holder. He bulb was there, we all saw it and then burst out into laughing.

Perhaps I cant explain with words, but believe me..it was so funny, the way we were talking at that moment, the way we were walking, the way we were looking at each other in darkness. After that moment, we laughed for about 15 minutes continuously, repeating the same sentence, “Ji, the light has burst”.

Then finally, we found that, all the lights had fused. Somehow the fans survived from the high voltage. And we finally slept that night keeping the fan’s regulator at the speed of 1 (and it was faster than 5 of normal days).

Will be here soon
